Seeing SOWA transformed by lights last year was an amazing experience, so I am excited that Illuminus is coming back for a second time! The free nighttime festival is inspired by the “nuits blanches” (translated as all-nighters) that take place in many cities worldwide. Presented as part of the upcoming HUBweek, with this year’s festival Lansdowne Street will become a canvas for artists, performers, and creative technologists on Saturday, October 10, from 6:30pm to 12:30am. (Note that Illuminus was originally scheduled for this upcoming weekend, but the date was changed due to the forecast of severe weather.) The 30 projects look absolutely amazing – descriptions of each are available on the event website. It is so exciting to see events like this in Boston. It sounds like it will be a magical night!
