The Weekender: October 23-25

weekender

I am so excited because I have the next few days off! Since the distillery opened in June, I’ve either been away on the weekends or lending a hand at the bar. It’s been a fun few months, but having a weekend at home with no plans feels like heaven! Wherever you find yourself this weekend, make it a good one.

A Film Festival. This weekend, celebrate filmmaking with Boston’s Asian American Film Festival, which highlights the work of over 50 filmmakers. For the full schedule, please go here.

SoWa Spooky Sunday. This Sunday marks the final day of the season for the South End Open Market at SoWa. To celebrate, put on your best costume for a chance to win some pretty cool prizes.

Family Day of Art. MassArt is hosting visitors of all ages this Saturday from 11am-4pm for the biannual Family Day. Interactive activities will be led by MassArt students and staff.

Boo! at the Pru. In anticipation of Halloween, head to the Shops at the Prudential Center this Sunday for a kid-friendly event. This annual event includes face painting, magic shows, cooking decorating, and trick-or-treating at 50+ shops and restaurants. More information (and contest rules!) available here.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
