The Weekender: February 5-7

Hello, Friday! So nice to see you, as always. Does anyone else think that February has such good energy to it? Hope you have a wonderful weekend…

Lunar Year Celebration! Ring in the Year of the Monkey with free admission to the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston this Saturday. Explore Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese traditions while enjoying activities and performances throughout the day. There will even be festive musical and dance performances!

Love Letters. In the mood for the theater? Catch a performance of Love Letters at the Citi Performing Arts Center this weekend. The story looks so sweet (love letters sent over the span fifty years), and would make for a great date night.

A Good Night for Rum. Short Path Distillery is releasing their Gold Rum, Batch 1 this weekend with a launch party tonight from 5-10pm. The rum has smooth notes of banana, vanilla, caramel, and clove. Limited edition bottles will be available for sale at the distillery, as well as special cocktails featuring this new release!

Burrito Bowl. There’s only one way to decide who makes the best burrito — try them all! This Saturday, join Poe’s Kitchen at the Rattlesnake for the annual Burrito Bowl. Chefs include El Pelón’s Jim Hoben, LOCO Taqueria & Oyster Bar’s Matt Drummond, and Naco Taco’s Amanda Howell.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
