The Weekender: February 12-15

Do you have a long weekend? We do, and we’re so excited to spend a little extra time relaxing. Enjoy these next few days, and we’ll see you back here on Tuesday…

Date Night! Although Valentine’s Day can feel somewhat forced or cheesy, it’s never bad to have an excuse to get dressed up and go out for a festive evening. Whether you’re planning a night out with a significant other or girlfriends, consider hitting a new restaurant or making a nice dinner at home. We’ve been wanting to try Tiger Mama and Branch Line. We found some fun things to do for Valentine’s Day, or if you need to slow down with yoga and chocolate, check out this free event from Paridaez.

Pretty in Pink. There’s just something about Molly Ringwald. I especially loved watching (and re-watching) Molly in Pretty in Pink back in the day. This Valentine’s Day, catch the flick on the big screen at a local Showcase Cinema in honor of its 30th anniversary. More information here.

A Taste of Wine. The Boston Wine Expo is back this weekend! Browse the vendors, attend a tasting session or a cooking class — and definitely enjoy a glass or two!

Year of the Monkey. While the Chinese New Year officially began last week, this Saturday celebrate with the Chinese New Year Parade. The colorful parade is fun for all ages.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
