The Weekender: March 11-13

Happy weekend! With highs in the 50s, it looks like we are in for a fairly mild weekend. Spring is not too far away, and we’re compiling our wish list! Here are our picks for the next few days.

A Good Critique. I always look forward to A.O. Scott’s movie reviews in the New York Times. He gives a book talk Friday at the Brattle Theatre about his career in criticism and its role in art and life. More here.

Go Green, Go Local! By supporting our own Celtics as they try to continue their at-home winning streak Friday night. (This would be the 15th win!) Tickets available here – with the enthusiasm of the fans, games are fun from any row!

A Kitchen Refresh. It feels so good to switch gears in the kitchen as the seasons change. I’m on the lookout for radishes and asparagus these days!

Museum Days. I’m looking forward to seeing this exhibition at the ICA! A walk down to the Seaport, a little museum browsing, followed by pizza and drinks sounds like a pretty perfect afternoon.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
