The Weekender: April 15-17

The forecast for this weekend looks amazing! I am going up to Maine with a group of girlfriends and I can’t wait to spend time outside. Hope you have a great few days.

Marathon Monday! It’s one of the most inspiring days – and this year, the weather is going to make it all the more sweeter (at least from the sideline). Sending good luck to all the runners, especially our friend Alex!

Get a Hug. In need of a hug today? The Nutcracker Bear will be giving out hugs in Copley Square today in honor of One Boston Day, honoring the 2013 Boston Marathon victims. Check out where and when to find him here!

A Weekend for International Film. This weekend is the annual Boston International Film Festival, where 100+ films from over 35 countries will be screened. I love seeing different kinds of films!

Patriots’ Day. This weekend you can relive the opening battle of the Revolutionary War in Lexington and Concord! How cool is that we live in a state so rich with history? You can see the full schedule of events here.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
