The Weekender: July 8-10

Happy Friday! We are certainly glad to have the weekend roll around — I am looking forward to doing some relaxing and not too much else! Here are a few fun events going on around town over the next few days.

In the Stacks. The Copley BPL reopens this Saturday with a ribbon cutting at 10:30am. We can’t wait to see the newly redone spaces in our favorite library! More info here.

On the Porch. The JP Porchfest is this Saturday, with music from 140 bands starting at 11:30am! (Check website in case of rain.) See the full schedule on the event website.

By the Shore. Hull is one of our absolute favorite seaside spots — we often spent time there with our family as children. A dip and a stroll along Nantasket Beach is such a perfect summer afternoon agenda. This weekend, the Hull artists open studios event puts another side of the town on view. (From 10am-4pm, Saturday and Sunday – pick up a map at Gallery Nantasket, 121 Nantasket Ave.)

On an Island. The Harbor Islands are such a nice departure from the city. This weekend, events include yoga, zumba, baseball, kite flying, and our favorite — fairy house building! More here.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
