The Weekender: July 29-31

boston-weekend-events

How is it already the last weekend of July? This summer needs to slow down just a bit! I am enjoying vacation in Provincetown. It’s been so nice to take a little time to enjoy the small pleasures of summer — and introduce Milo to the ocean! If you’re in town this weekend, here are a few fun things going on:

Pop-up Shop! New York City’s popular pop-up shop, ID POP SHOP is opening doors at 144 Newbury Street this weekend only. The shop will sell unique items from Boston and New York City-based independent designers including Sasha Walsh Designs, Joyo, Margo Petitti, and Charged Glassworks.

Summer Jazz. This Sunday, join WGBH’s Jazz 24/7 for the 3rd Annual Cambridge Jazz Festival, with legendary saxophonist Walter Beasley headlining. A full list of performers here.

We All Scream for Ice Cream. I can’t get enough ice cream these days! Lucky for me (and you!), the Wilson Farm Ice Cream Social is back, happening both Saturday and Sunday at their Lexington farm from 11am-4pm. All proceeds benefit the Pan-Mass Challenge. More information can be found here.

FIGMENT Boston. This Saturday and Sunday, FIGMENT Boston returns to the Rose Kennedy Greenway with interactive art projects, dance performances, and music – all free and open to the public.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
