Happy Friday — It is Natalie’s birthday today! (Happy birthday!) I am wishing her and you all a lovely Friday and a wonderful weekend. There are lots of ‘fests’ going on over the next few days!

Boston Greenfest. Check out City Hall Plaza this weekend for a free multicultural environmental music festival. With events spanning Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, music and dance from more than 20 countries will be featured. The schedule is available here.

Brew at the Zoo. A different way to view and support the local zoo, while sampling some brews!

West End Children’s Fest. The West End feels like such a hidden community! Venture behind the Whole Foods on Cambridge Street on Sunday between noon and 3pm and connect to the Thoreau Path for free games, food, and entertainment for the whole family. More info on the event website.

Salem Jazz and Soul Fest. Venture up to Salem on Saturday and Sunday for a dose of free jazz and soul. Find out more here.

Gloucester Waterfront Fest. This weekend over 175 juried artists and craftspeople will be exhibiting their wares along with music and food (including a pancake breakfast on Saturday!) at Stage Fort Park in Gloucester. (Plus a few North Shore favorites.)

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
