Although we’re in September now, the weather is reminding us that it’s still summer! Have a great few days.

New Old Treasures. A neighborhood yard sale? Sign me up! The annual Savin Hill Neighborhood Yard Sale is back this Saturday from 9am-2pm – with more than 40 participating households. Map and more info available here.

Arts & Crafts. The 34th annual festival devoted to arts and crafts is back this weekend at the Codman Estate. Hundreds of local artists will have their work on display, ranging from woodwork to painting to pottery and metalwork. More info here.

Paint in an Apple Orchard. Visit one of my favorite orchards (Honeypot!) this weekend for apple picking and painting. The ladies from The Paint Bar will demonstrate how to paint a tote bag inspired by the beautiful orchard scene! Tickets for the morning and afternoon session.

The Boston Arts Festival. One more festival to round out your weekend! This Saturday, celebrate the vibrant art community of Boston at the Boston Arts Festival, which promotes the open studios around Boston. The event is run by the organizers of the Beacon Hill Art Walk and Artists Crossing Gallery, and in addition to viewing the work of 70+ artists, guests can enjoy local musicians and the beautiful waterfront from the Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park. Additional info here.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
