Wow — we can’t believe it is the middle of September already! Fall is on its way, and we are looking forward to all the amazingness of the season in New England. On Saturday we are going to The Big E in West Springfield and are so excited! A few fun ideas for your weekend:

Music on the Charles, Part I. For the 23rd year, MIX 104.1 will present a free concert along the Charles River! This Saturday, catch OneRepublic, Indie-pop singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson, and reggae\pop singer Shaggy. The show begins at 1:45pm at the Hatch Shell — find out more here.

Music on the Charles, Part II. Enjoy more music along the river on Sunday as you celebrate the changing seasons with the Revels. While 150 performers will be taking part in the festivities, the audience’s participation is just as important! Find out more here.

Made in the USA. We love discovering interesting American-made brands, and the traveling pop-up market American Field is a fun way to discover new ones. This Saturday and Sunday from 10am-6pm, the market comes to the Seaport. Find out more and browse participating brands on the event website.

Local Food Love. This Sunday the Boston Local Food Festival brings farmers, restaurants, speciality food producers, chefs, music, and more to the Greenway. Shop, eat, and enjoy! More info, schedule and a map of the festival available here.

Village Fest. Get in the local love spirit with Village Fest in Everett on Saturday from 3-10pm. This ultimate street party features band Eve 6, beer from Night Shift, Bone Up, and Down the Road, spirits from our fave, Short Path Distillery, lawn games, and food trucks. See more here.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
