The Weekender: September 30-October 2

boston-weekend-events

It’s really feeling like fall now, and it is hard to believe that this weekend is the beginning of October! This is absolutely one of our favorite times of year (a few reasons why here), and we plan on soaking it up. Wishing you a wonderful few days!

ArtWeek. Featuring more than 150 unique, participatory events in Eastern Massachusetts, this biannual creative festival has plenty for everyone. Check out the schedule on the festival website — events start Friday and go through October 9.

Fall Walks. This summer was a hot one! The heat sometimes made it heard for us to enjoy the long walks we love, but this fall breeze means you can walk for hours (as long as you don’t mind a little drizzle!). We especially love the banks of the Charles, the Harborwalk, or browsing shop windows — look out for the street pianos as you stroll!

Harpoon Octoberfest. This Friday and Saturday celebrate Octoberfest at Harpoon with beer, bratwurst, dancing and more. The cover charge of $25 includes a souvenir cup and one drink, while more food and drink will be available for sale. Cheers to the harvest!

ARL Barktoberfest. This Sunday, celebrate Octoberfest with the Animal Rescue League. Furry friends are welcome to the event at the SoWa Beer and Wine Garden, and proceeds benefit shelter dogs. Learn more on the eventbrite page (walk-ins welcome at the door).

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
