The Weekender: October 7-9

Happy Friday! Can you believe it’s already October 7? The weeks are flying by, and today my sweet baby Milo turns four months old. Can’t believe it! Hope you enjoy the next few days…

Flock Together. If you’re out shopping on Saturday, pop into In the Pink (133 Newbury Street) for a special event, Flocking Together to Make Strides Against Breast Cancer. The retailer will donate 10% of all sales to the American Cancer Society Strides Against Breast Cancer.

Harvest Festival. Looking to get out of the city? Head to one of our favorite spots, Concord’s Verrill Farm for a harvest festival this Saturday. There will be activities, games, raffles, and of course plenty of delicious food!

Open Doors. If you have the Monday holiday off, take advantage of free admission at the MFA’s open house during the Fenway Alliance’s 15th Annual Opening Our Doors Day. The open house will feature musical performances including a concert by the Boston Pops, plus art-making activities and tours.

Museum of Archaeology. The Peabody Museum of Archaeology & Ethnology is celebrating its 150th anniversary with free admission on Saturday. The all-day event will include a special birthday cake (!), live music, hands-on activities, and the chance to see artifacts rarely on exhibit. A full schedule of events available here. Plus, free parking!

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
