The Weekender: October 28-30

boston-weekend-events

Happy Friday! We are looking forward to a little relaxation over the next few days. It will be nice to slow down and enjoy the season — one of our favorites in Boston. Have a wonderful weekend!

Boo! Get into the spirit of Halloween this weekend with events around town for all ages. See some ideas here. We’ll be working on our costumes!

Market Day. Sunday is the last SoWa Open Market of the season, and the day will include pumpkin painting and costume contests along with the usual vendors and food trucks. More here.

Leaf Peeping. Those fall colors are so gorgeous! The foliage makes a country drive or time in nature even more glorious. There is a website for everything these days — even one to give you an “up-to-date look at foliage across Massachusetts“!

The Zoo Under the Moon. This weekend the Franklin Park Zoo is open after hours (6-10pm) for a special Midnight Zoo event. Fantastical creatures, moonlit surprises, and a quest are all part of the adventure, which you can cap of with beers and burgers. Find out more and buy tickets on the zoo website.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
