The Weekender: December 2-4

boston-weekend-events

Can you believe it’s December? I always feel like the holiday season swoops in so quickly. I’m planning to get a Christmas tree this weekend and start listening to holiday music to get in the spirit. Hope you have a great few days!

Keep Warm (Locally). French Knot, a Massachusetts-based cold weather accessories company is hosting a warehouse sale in Millbury, Massachusetts this Sunday. Browse sample products and items from the 2014-15 line including winter hats, headbands, mittens, and holiday items such as stockings and ornaments. More information available here.

Winter Festival. It is such a special time of year! This weekend, celebrate the season with the SoWa Winter Festival, an annual weekend of art, shopping, food and wine. Kick-off the festival with SoWa’s First Friday as 70+ artists open their studios. On Saturday and Sunday, peruse more than 100 New England artisans and specialty food vendors at the SoWa Winter Festival Holiday Shopping Village at 540 Harrison Avenue.

Marché de Noël. This Saturday, visit the French Cultural Center in the Back Bay for the 15th annual Marché de Noël! Inspired by the holiday markets in France, guests can sip on complimentary mulled wine or hot cider, browse beautiful gift items and artisanal food. Free for members and children under the age of 10, $3 for non-members.

Flickering Lights. This is the best time of year to take a nighttime stroll! We love walking through the Comm Ave mall with the trees all lit up and seeing how different homes decorate for the season. This weekend, take a walk and remember what this season is all about.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
