The Weekender: June 2-4

boston-weekend-events

Happy Friday! It’s been a busy week around here and I’m definitely looking forward to the weekend. We’re celebrating Milo’s birthday (he turns one next week!) on Sunday (remember this??), and I’m hoping the clouds stay away. It’s been so nice having a few beautiful days this week. There are  lots of great things happening in town this weekend. What are you up to?

Get Outside with North End Yoga. A few of our favorite fitness mamas, Meagan Fitzgerald and Jennifer Phelan are teaching a free Pilates fusion class this Saturday in the North End section of the Rose Kennedy Greenway at 10:30am. Immediately following, Joanna Benevides will lead the group in a yoga class. More information and reserve your spot here.

Art Walk. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the hidden passages and gardens of Beacon Hill this Sunday as you view the works of 70+ artists at the Beacon Hill Art Walk. The event is rain or shine and goes from 12-6pm. Check out previous years here and here.

Cambridge Arts River Festival. This Saturday take the whole family to East Cambridge for the Cambridge Arts River Festival, a free festival of the arts. Events include musical performances, interactive dance and theater, public art installations, and family entertainment, including a music performance from Little Groove (Milo and Serena’s favorite class). Full schedule available here.

SoWa First Friday. Enjoy this beautiful evening at SoWa’s First Friday in the SoWa Art & Design District. We love perusing the open studios of area artists, followed by a yummy dinner at one of the many delicious South End restaurants.

And a few fun things:

– I recently started using this sun repair serum and I’ve already noticed a difference. Plus, it smells so nice. Definitely going to be on heavy rotation this summer.

– My parents gifted Milo this adorable toy camera for his birthday, and it’s quickly become his favorite.

– I’ve recently become obsessed with Market Basket. The prices are unbeatable! But it’s a bit of a maze and you definitely have to plan your shopping trip before you leave home. Does anyone else love grocery shopping, or is just me?

On the transition to daycare.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
