The Weekender: June 16-18

boston weekend events

Happy Friday, friends! We have a cousin visiting this weekend (she is French but living in San Francisco!) and we can’t wait to catch up with her and enjoy the city together. Also, we’re looking forward to celebrating Father’s Day with our husbands and our wonderful dad. In case you’re looking for some last minute gift ideas, we’ve got you covered. Have a great weekend.

Set Sail. Wander down to Boston Harbor to see the beautiful tall ships coming from over 14 countries. In total, there will be about 50 ships, which makes this the largest fleet of tall ships to make its way to North America in over 20 years! Boston is the only US stop on the Rendez-Vous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta tour, which began in England and then stopped in Portugal and Bermuda. Browse all Sail Boston events here.

A Celebration of Live Music. Serena and Milo love music, and we enjoy taking them to our weekly music class. This weekend, music lovers of all ages can participate in the Fête de la Musique, a worldwide event that is celebrated in over 100 countries! Live musicians will fill the South End streets and there will be a block party between four of the neighborhood parks.

Hug a Dad. We’re grateful to live in the same city as our own father, so that we can celebrate him this weekend, and every other weekend, too. As parents, we are also looking forward to spoiling our husbands and giving them a little extra love on Sunday. How will you celebrate Father’s Day?

Lord Hobo Turns 2! The Lord Hobo Brewery makes some delicious beers. On Saturday head to Woburn to celebrate the brewery’s second birthday. Guest taps from other local breweries including Night Shift Brewing and Jack’s Abby, plus food and music.
