Happy Friday! It has been beautiful out — we are looking forward to spending some time outside this weekend and hope you can too! Here are a few fun ideas:

Free Fun Fridays. The Highland Street summer series of no-cost Friday admissions to museums and cultural institutions kicks off this Friday with entrance to the Clark Institute, Peabody Essex Museum, The Discovery Museums, the Mary Baker Eddy Library, The Mount, and more. Take a look at the full listing for this week and the rest of the summer here. Such an awesome program!

Renegade Craft Fair. On Saturday and Sunday, 100 makers will take part in the Renegade Craft Fair at the Cyclorama in the South End. Entrance is free, and the roster of participants can be seen on the website — lots of interesting things!

(Re)Creation on the Harbor. Saturday is the kick-off for a temporary sculpture exhibition on Peddock’s Island. Tickets include round-trip ferries, music, live poetry, and a chance to meet the artists.

Central Flea. Sunday is the first day of the new Central Flea, a flea market in Central Square with art, vintage goods, crafts, and food trucks. See more here.

Catch a Flick. The Roxbury International Film Festival has lots of interesting movies playing through July 1. I’ve also been so curious to see Wonder Woman — I’ve read some good reviews! Seen any good movies lately?

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
