The Weekender: December 1-3
Happy Friday! In case you missed it, we shared a bunch of gift guides this week including Laura’s wishlist (she’s hoping for a cozy pair of PJs from Hanna Andersson — and they are 40% off today!) and gift ideas for kids of all ages (plus, our favorite books for kids).
What are your plans for this weekend? We are going on a double date to The Nutcracker tomorrow, and can’t to see the beautiful costumes. Have a great few days.
A Christmas Fair. 30 artists from across New England will sell their work at the Old South Church’s Christmas Craft Fair this Saturday from 10-4. Browse pottery, knits, photography, fine art, jewelry, candles, and more while sipping on hot mulled cider. Also happening this weekend: the JP Craft Fair.
Light the City. Don’t you love all the Christmas Trees popping up around the city? It makes us so happy to walk through the city and feel the warmth of twinkling lights on our face. It’s such a magical time. This weekend check out the tree lighting in the Seaport or at the Boston Center for the Arts plaza. If you are hoping to pick up a tree (or wreath) for your house this weekend, stop by the Hill House tree sale in Beacon Hill. The sale benefits the great programming at Hill House.
SoWa Winter Festival. Celebrate the beginning of December with the SoWa Winter Festival. The festival will feature 100+ makers and food vendors, live holiday music, a flower crown station with Alice’s Table, live ice sculpting, mulled wine, hot chocolate, and bites from Gaslight. Details here.
MassArt Made Sale. We love supporting local artists, and what better way to do that then by purchasing their work. Starting this Sunday, browse the work of MassArt students and alumni. The sale will go through December 9. Details here.
Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at firstname.lastname@example.org. Have a wonderful weekend!
