The Weekender: January 12-15

weekend events boston

After traveling last week (which included a 22 hour drive to Charleston!), I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend at home. In fact, we don’t have any scheduled plans. I’m excited to take it easy and see where the next few days take us. What are you up to? Here are a few fun weekend events…

Happy MLK Jr. Day!

Matt and I never had this holiday off, but if you do there are so many great ways to enjoy the day including a museum visit. Both the ICA and MFA are free this Monday in honor of MLK, Jr.

SoWa First Friday (Snow Date)

SoWa’s First Friday event this month is a week late thanks to the big snow storm. If you are in the area, stop by SoWa Boston tonight to visit the open studios. Details here.

Visit the Trillium Garden at the Substation

Have you been to Trillium Brewing’s newest location? Their Roslindale pop-up is in the old substation and the space is really cool. Stop by for a pint — and perhaps visit the Roslindale Winter Farmer’s Market afterwards.

“You’ve Dreamed a Thousand Dreams”

Are you a Guster fan? Laura and I loved this Boston-born band when we were in high school. They are still making music and this weekend you can catch them live. Details and tickets here.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
